Important - Security Vulnerabilities Discovered in Popular Scripts

We’re always looking out for ways to better your experience with us on the service and security front. We’d like to draw your attention to new security vulnerabilities identified in two popular scripts - WordPress & Magneto. Please note that these issues are script-based and are not specific to our platform in any way.

Read on to know more about these vulnerabilities, assess whether you could be impacted and take preventive action.

WordPress Vulnerability


This is a new, serious vulnerability, announced recently which has the potential to cause some damage and disruption. Current versions of WordPress are vulnerable to a stored XSS. An unauthenticated attacker can inject JavaScript in WordPress comments. The script is triggered when the comment is viewed.

Host NIT inc. have been doing a yearly review of all accounts, and in few cases have found some account have not been getting charged nor do the account holders take initiative on making the payments.  In these cases these accounts gets terminated from our network.

 

I.E: In one case in particular a client didn't pay for 6 month of service while his services remain active due to a system error, on the seventh month the system finally terminated his account. Please note the system did send the customer email for overdue invoices and a termination email as it was supposed to. (the emails did not bounce back, they were received). Once an account is found in this state it is considered delinquent...
